Not Boring Weather City Temperature Slider
Not Boring Weather City Temperature Slider
In this weather application, dragging the horizontal slider at the bottom of the screen allows the user to scrub through different times of the day. As the slider is dragged, the massive, stylized temperature numbers roll vertically with a 3D cylindrical rotation effect, mimicking a physical split-flap display. Simultaneously, the background color, ambient lighting, and 3D weather illustrations (clouds, sun, rain) dynamically morph and crossfade to reflect the changing weather conditions and time of day. When the user stops scrubbing, the numbers settle into place with a subtle, satisfying spring bounce.
