In this step-tracking interface, the main daily step counter dynamically updates as new steps are recorded. Instead of a simple crossfade or instant change, the individual digits that change perform a vertical rolling animation (ticker style), sliding up or down to reveal the new numbers. This mechanical odometer-like transition is highly responsive, visualizes progress incrementally, and is paired with a secondary range badge that slides to match the updated step count.
