Thru Horizontal Scroll to Walk Interaction

In this hiking tracker app, dragging or scrolling horizontally across the screen scrubs through the user's journey. As the user scrubs, a stylized hiker mascot walks in place while the illustrated background layers move at varying speeds to create a rich parallax depth effect. The landscape, sky color, and lighting dynamically shift to match different trail sections. Simultaneously, the day counter and total mileage count up or down like a ticker, and a bottom informational card crossfades to display the current landmark's name and description.
