When a friend starts typing, a compact notification pill slides in from the right of the header, pushing the 'Friends' title to the left. The pill contains the friend's avatar, a bouncing three-dot typing indicator, and the text 'Taylor is typing'. When typing stops, the pill slides back out to the right, and the 'Friends' title smoothly returns to its original position with a springy transition.
