The interaction allows users to search for currencies by drawing their symbols directly onto a canvas area. As the user draws with a textured, pencil-like stroke, the background placeholder fades. Once the gesture is completed, the canvas displays a close button, and the list of currencies below smoothly transitions, fading and sliding up, to display search results that match the recognized hand-drawn symbol.
